From time to time damage to items does occur. Rest assured that our
movers will do everything possible to prevent this, but at times, it does happen.
Our liability is 60 cents per pound.
Many movers only cover 30 cents per pound. This is the maximum of our liability as documented in our Bill of Lading
(the moving contract). We agree to move your household goods at the hourly rates described on our rates page, only if
our liability of 60 cents/pound is agreed upon by you. When you sign the bill of lading, you agree to the limits of liability.
If you have especially expensive items that you want additional coverage on, check your home owners policy. You can
also get additional insurance from various moving insurance companies on the web as well as from your local insurance
agent.
If
you do have a claim, we will do our best to repair the item or pay the 60cents/pound in a timely fashion.
Remember
it is our wish for you to be happy with your move and happy with the service you receive. Accidents do happen, but rest assured
that we will honor our end of the agreement.
